A Non-Local Arrangement
Without an Edge
M Cubed Productions had a concept for a film in which the main character treks through Baltimore, sampling the soundscape with a special microphone. He later combines these sounds into a complex arrangement at his home studio. A Non-Local Arrangment needed sound design and foley to create an atmosphere that would compliment the cinematography.
An Added Edge
Hardly Square began by editing the dialogue from the film, followed by overdubbing and foley to capture all the sounds missing from the scene. Hardly Square also scored a soundtrack for the film, which combined all of the sounds that the character captured over the course of his journey. The attention to fine detail (i.e. panning, reverb, delay, filtering) were critical to achieving a rich aural experience for the film.

An Added Edge
Hardly Square accepted the challenge of remixing “75 Cents”, and shaped the song into a high energy, dance floor hit. The remix quickly climbed to number one, out-selling all other house music releases for several weeks on Stompy.com (One of the largest distributors of digital dance music).
